I claimed successfully in the UK for PV JAK2 positive. It was through Aviva I think, but it started off as a Zurich policy. The staff there were very lovely and helpful. If you've kept all your relevant clinic letters handy you can send them in yourself , which would probably speed up the process. Good luck with your claim xRachel

Hi I had a successful claim I have ET JAK2 , my insurers were Aviva . I think your insurers will send a form to your haematologist to complete. Whole process from start to finish was approx 6 weeks with no issues . Heather

My consultant sent it back akready, they are just waiting for gp but no rush for them 😬 I'm just courius they will accept that or decline, as policy saying they are not paying out in less advanced cancers 😔

Good luck! I too was successful with Aviva around 5 years ago. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Sorry it wasn't with Zurich it was with legal and general but I think Zurich are another big name so would have to follow the same guidelines as the other big insurers x

We claimed with Scottish provident for PV it was reject at first but I researched and found that an MPD was reclassified by the ABI and now it's MPN Mylo prolific neuro plasms meaning new growth .

When I rang the second time the agreed it and I sent all the copies of my husband's hospital letter and it was paid out with 3 weeks .
