you need to get form NCT002 filled in by an appropriate professional & hand it in with the NCT001 form.......

id like to hear how many of you have got the pass under this rule even though we are all over the uk.

I've never been told about or heard about bus passes for people with depression.

Am I right in thinking you can only get the pass if you can work because of depression or and/or anxiety and therefore are not earning a salary? Wasn't sue by your description above but sure it must be, cant think why we'd get a free pass otherwise, sorry if im missing something x

*Sorry, that was supposed to say 'can't work'

I got a bus pass for depression because I get lower rate care. It doesn't depend on whether you work or not - that is irrelevent. When I got my bus pass I had to fill a form in and get a letter from the doctor. I kept these together and handed the whole lot in. It took about 2 weeks. Don't know if you can get it unless you get DLA.

Hope this helps.

Sorry im feeling very dim now, what do you mean by 'lower rate care'? I'm not sure what a DLA is either.

Ok, ive just had a Google and i think im right in thinking that some people registered as disabled (for mental health or otherwise) may be provided with a subsidised carer to aid in their wellbeing and day to day. So im guessing if youre registered with a disability then you can claim concessonary travel, makes sense now. Thanks Although one woudl hope they would tell everyone this at the time, or when updates and improvements to the sceme are implemended so that those who require it recieve the full benefit x

Oh and to explain my working comments that were mentioned, if anyone being treated for depression were to be offered concessonary travel i would have been shocked. Im being treated for depression and anxiety but as i am in work i would not want the option of applying for concessionary travel. But for those out of work or on disbility this makes perfect sense. Ta

i dont get dla and i got my bus pass.

Ok, then i must be missing the point for which im very sorry. So you are in full time work and are not registered disabled, on what ground were you given conessonary travel then? Sorry to be so dim about this one.

im NOT IN WORK !

I HAVE COPD/DEPRESSION & ANXIETY

SO I GOT THE PASS ON MENTAL HEALTH GROUNDS ALTHOUGH AS COPD IS A progressive disease & degenerative THEN A LETTER FROM THE HOSPITAL WOULD ALSO GET A BUS PASS ALSO.

AND NO I DONT GET DLA !

I don't appreciate you shouting at me. You have posted on here without the full information. For anyone that is eligible for this they may want to know how and why so they can look into it.

I did ask in my earlier message if its because you're not in work. Hypercat mentioned she is in work but gets DLA which makes her eligable. You never said if you were working, but just said you don't get DLA, which didn't answer my query about how you were eligible for the pass, but obviously its because you're not working, which you haven't mentioned until now.

The attitude is not appreciated.

im sorry i didn't mean to shout out !

no you don't just get the pass because ur out work of either.....(but just said you don't get DLA, which didn't answer my query about how you were eligible for the pass, but obviously its because you're not working, which you haven't mentioned until now. )
