I have received a form to fill out. The last question is, tell us about your health condition and how it affects you. How do you put that into words? It's very difficult.

How to explain our condition?
What's the form for? If u don't mind - as different forms will need different answers.
And is your ill health depression?
It's for the dwp. I've got depression and anxiety.
Is it an application for pip?
Yes, I can't cope with it. I've been putting it off, but they have sent me a reminder that they need it back the 5th August.
Ok - I applied and got refused x2 - then went to tribunal and it was instantly granted. I was a lawyer so I'm good with forms but I still needed help from CAB To get it. It was incredibly stressful and took 9 months to sort.
They seem always to refuse initially for depression. There is good guidance online about how they award the points for it.
You are probably best to get it done through CAB as they know the system really well.
It's unlikely you will get an appointment before 5th so you will have to complete application yourself. I will see if I have a copy of my initial application and I can go through that with you. We can do that over a couple of days. Do you have an email as better if we do that way.
ive got a form too.ive also got depression/anxiety.maybe arthritis so no doubt I will be refused.
yeah all over pain in my shoulders back legs.even things like writing playing guitar and I'm in pain for days.even screwing up a coffee table and my whole left hand was stiff.not on any medication for it but have hospital appointment soon.
Ok for pip there are specific guidelines - I will try and find them and post. I'd recommend anyone get help with the form. As I said CAB were excellent with my local office having a really high rate of success for appeals.
mine is due in on 25th august.
All I can advise is tell the truth and if you have time CAB will help with the filling in
They are very testy with Mental Health issues, so you will need to fight your corner.
If you have Arthritis and joint problems, you can talk to your GP. I understand they will be putting in a report on your disability

The DWP will ask the GP for a report on physical illness such as Arthritis. Be honest but also realistic, say it like it is especially on bad days. CAB and Age UK are both excellent at completing the forms with you. Good luck, and don't be put off by the forms, or become over anxious and stressed.
I too have this issue. I have fibromyalgia, bipolar 1 mixed rapid cycling w psychosis gerd general anxiety Suspected APS ONe test done waiting on second to confirm APS. I'm finding it difficult to put in words and also difficult to even complete the form I'm either to exhausted physically and mentally or I forget to do it or I'm so manic I don't care. I'm sick of being denied fighting 7 years so far and every denial letter seems to be due to my lawyers not he ting ALL my records in.
I'm in United States so idk the meaning of CAB
