I am new in this community. Male, just retired. I have had depression on and off since childhood, and have been treated for it.

The last month has been something of a disaster. It was so bad last week I had to go into a clinic and see a psychologist and get an Rx. I had been out of treatment for several years and felt like I was doing fairly well. That has all come crashing down.

I have an appointment next week, just trying to hang in until that happens.

I'm the same as you with the depression history. I also was doing very well until two bad things happened; then I completely changed, depression, anxiety, health problems. Just shows how fragile we all are, Until your next appt., just be kind to yourself, stay in bed if that's what you feel like doing. Or do things you enjoy. There are millions out there like us, so don't blame yourself.

I am taking it easy until I can get myself feeling better again. The Zoloft might be starting to work. Not quite so hyper this morning. But I'm going to lay low for awhile.
