Has anyone had a successful PIP claim recently awarded on mental health grounds, for depression & anxiety?

I had my assessment last week so just going through the dreadful wait. It is so hard to explain and out across how mental health effects you, especially as everyday Is different

I've never tried it myself...I do get PIP but for all my pain issues...I suppose for you to get an award for mental health you would have to be in therapy & classes etc..I myself is in therapy and do various classes but I can't be asked to fill out a next set of forms to then have to have to prove I have mental health issue's!!!

I was refused pip but you can ask for a review of the decision within a certain time period.so I did that,it's just a simple request and they will do that.i got refused again but recieved a much more detailed letter if explanation which really helped to clarify everything I took the next step to challenge in independent review,then a nurse phoned me and asked questions then referred to a doctor who phoned me and asked questions also,it was now a year later from my initial request for forms and appointment.The doctor phoned me back the next day saying I am accepted for pip at FULL payments and will receive 1 year full back payment.

It's almost impossible to explain how things are for you so all this was absolutely needed by me . Klaus

Just been awarded PIP enhanced daily living for my mental health. But it has been a roller coaster 🎢 ride. 1st application refused, 2nd one granted, review took everything away, appeal ignored, 3rd one granted (November 2022). Citizens Advice Bureau have specifically trained advisors to help with PIP Application forms.
