Loneliness and Hammer Toes

I'm an older female struggling to keep myself together. My husband and I live with 6 cats. He is a cold person it didn't bother me for a long time but it does now. In addition to being cold he has become nasty. I'm so lonely!! I have no friends or family. My health could be better, nothing drastic as far as I know, I have difficulty walking by myself because of hammer toes. Three hammer toes on each foot my doctor wants to do surgery one foot at a time. I can't stand the thought of being unable to do anything for 5 to 6 weeks. Any comments on hammer toes/treatment would be greatly apreciated. I'm trying to take one day at a time and would very much like to chat with someone for a little company.

I'm really sorry to hear about your problems. If it weren't for your toe problems I'd get some roller skates to get away from your husband! You deserve better!!

Oh I so know you feel, my husband is a good but can cold and not take things I say seriously or evan listen and very important Ina marriage or relationship period. I'm sorry it is sad and get very depressed I know, but I do say you did and don't it bother me . I know with your toes it's hard to get out but let me pray for you that you get that fixed and you're able to get out you need to find new friends new people to be around to make you happy. Like the other guy said are the other person get a pair of skates and just skate away. Hugs to you.

Hi Kitty, I am very sorry to hear about your problems.....I am an older guy and life can be lonely but remember u have 6 lovely cats that I presume are your friend . You are being dragged down by your husband ‘s treatment of u therefore in my opinion YOU must make the effort to improve your life starting with having the courage to getting your toes corrected . Although this will not be easy once it is done think of the inner confidence that will give to your wellbeing and the inner strength of such an achievement . ..... Go fir it lovely lady and don’t be put off by anyone ...good luck !

Sorry to hear about your grumpy husband. My friend had the operation for hammer toes and she has recovered very well. It’s not a nice procedure but we’ll worth it so please have it done xx

Where do you live? I have a hammer toe and bunion. It can be very painful. I had the toes x rayed by two different doctors. My general practitioner said only have surgery as a last resort. I have two dogs that have to be walked twice daily. I am not planning on surgery. As years go on, it is harder to have friends. I would love to exchange emails if you choose. I am 69.

Hi: I'm so happy to hear from you. These hammer toes are a problem for me because they are numb and keep me from walking correctly. On 10/19 I'm going to an orthopedic podiatrist I hope she's better than my regular podiatrist. I live in Pennsylvania and we have six cats but I love dogs too, cats are easier when you're working. I would love to exchange emails too. I'm older than you.
