I used to get a heart flutter or murmer when I slept at night. My doctor wanted to put me on prescription meds that had serious side effects. I refused and read articles that magnesium could help. Well for me it worked perfectly in just a few days. I've not had any problem since taking them. I told this to my doctor and he said he never heard of that. He also said my magnesium blood work was normal, but I replied it had to be measured differently. Anyway he said off it's working than do what works So I'd say yes that it does help, at least in my case. but we are all different, so give it a try and see, no harm in that.

Hi ford08,

I’m new here. Last year, finally I found out I had coeliac disease after years of struggling with gastro problems, fatigue and mood problems. Anyway, I saw a private dietician and she put me on magnesium threonate. It crosses the blood brain barrier. She took it herself as ‘everyone tends to be slightly deficient.’

This links in with what PCman said about blood work measurement. It is your choice and your body.

😊
