Could I have some guidance?

ive been feeling quite bad non stop for weeks now but it isnt all the time. Sometimes im actually capable of being happy which makes me confused to what is going on although i struggle to be happy even in good situations. I eat well and my sleep is decent. I often have thoughts on ending my life that vary from more severe to just like that would be nice. Not sure what to do and im not even sure if anyone will actually read this?

The feelings you have described and are experiencing are frightening at times, but for someone with depression and anxiety these feelings are more commonplace than you think, the important part is not acting on them! You may also think that there isn't anyone out there who wants to listen to exactly how you're feeling! However, please go and speak to your GP about it, don't be embarrassed about it, explain everything you are feeling! They have a network of people that can help! As well as that, search online for local Mental Health community groups! For people who suffer from anxiety and depression these feelings and thoughts, although dark & negative, can be brought under control, WITH the right help, because what you are experiencing IS an Illness!! Just remember whilst seeking help that, #ItsOkNotToBeOk

Thank you for your reply. I have in fact spoken to a GP on the phone and I didn't find it useful at all. She basically said I was fine really and was just like sorry you feel that way, I think this is because I said I still carry on like nothing is going on and still carry out all my days jobs. So after now speaking with a doctor I feel like I'm more on my own really and not sure what to do.

Hi.🙂

I'm sorry to hear how you are struggling. Even though you describe feeling happy at times, your persistent thoughts about ending your life are concerning.

Would you be comfortable calling a free hotline?

Is there a friend you could talk to?

Do you have any insurance or assistance so that you could consider starting therapy? You can ask them about cost and insurance coverage when you call (or email).

Beyond those things, try & take it day by day or even hour by hour. Make note of your "up" or "happy" moods... maybe write them down... try and see what was happening that lifted your spirits and focus on that.

Best of luck to you.

Keep fighting.♡

HiI’m sorry you did not find the support when you made a big effort to get it from your GP. Lots of us feel similar and I admire your tenacity- the thoughts will pass… if you need to explore them help lines don’t judge and generally “get it”

Take care 🌼

Sounds like depression. You may need to consider trying SSRI AD medication plus psychotherapy.a powerful combination.
