I take setraline. I tend to take them long term but wean myself down to one every other day, then one every two days, then one every three days. My doctor advised me years ago to do that so that it’s still in your system. That way- when I start to feel bad again it doesn’t take so long for them to kick in.

I think you have to weigh up the pros and cons here. Depression is one of the worst illnesses. If your mind is not working properly how can you operate? The ‘harm’ they do- if any - far outweighs the healing they give. That’s my philosophy anyway. I hope you feel better soon. Depression absolutely sucks.

Hello SorterI have been on various AD drugs for near on sixty years, Now at seventy they began to reduce all my medications without exception so now I take one Citalopram a day and a further two Amytryptalene in the evening for nerve damage in various places in my joints and bones, There is very little change of me coming of any of my drugs now, you will most probably work out that in the future, although hopefully you will recover from your Mental Health in the future as they do try and reduce the dose and take you of them in the future. I feel your Doctor will be hoping to wean you of completely in the near future by default as the drug will become hardly measurable given time
