For those of you with SAD, I was curious if anyone has done light therapy and was wondering how effective it was? I am thinking about buying a light but don’t wanna spend the money if it doesn’t help. Let me know 😊

I will advise you that natural light is the best light for therapy and also try using candles at night instead of artificial light xx
A low duration sunbed a few times a week will serve you better than a mood light because it has a higher level of UV and spectrum of colours. Humans are like flowers and just like flowers we need a spectrum of colours to operate, some people, particularly those with SAD need light more than others. A lot of people, including the NHS do not advise sunbeds because of the risk of skin cancer, but the fact is, and it really is a fact, if used correctly, sunbeds are no more risk than going outside in the sun. Those already at risk of skin cancer would get cancer in the sun or a sunbed, those not at risk, would have to over expose in the Sun or a sunbed but it must be said you can get skin cancer anyways with or without UV. I'm a huge advocate for those with SAD, Depression and anxiety disorders or those with skin issues like pyrosis using sunbeds but the goal must be to treat a condition and never to tan. In small regular doses UV is one of the best known anti depressants on the planet, and it's great for warding of viruses thanks to increased energy, vit D and mood. Treating any condition with the sun, or sunbed, isn't without risks, but low duration reducea those risks dramatically, you should never burn, never get a heat rash, or go red, and if you have moles you can put SPF 50 on those to reduce the risk further. A good tanning bed will even allow you to reduce the strength of the face tanner which also a good idea. I am not advocating tanning, there is a huge difference, tanner's will often eventually go up passed 10mins, treating SAD and other conditions will only take around 2-4mins avoiding burning, rashes or redness at all times, some people may get a minor tan and glow if they tan easy but they must avoid temptation in getting darker skin.
