This is my first post in this group. I started in another group and found it comforting, so I know this one will, too.
I have been dealing with depression and anxiety for a long time. I turn 50 this year.
In the last few years, I have been more forthcoming about my illness, but I have not included my family. It feels like a lie, but it is how they already know me.
I always question whether to share with my employer or not. The few times I did, it did not turn out well. A few times that I didn't, it was no better.
My anxiety worsens when I worry about keeping it hidden. Right now, it is on as needed basis.
I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

If it is not broke do not fix it especially at work. If you do your work well and not making errors or upsetting people leave it alone. Until something happens and an explanation is needed. Remember a large percentage of people are on AD Medications some most probably at your employment
At home my Wife is my carer so She knows about all my disabilities and keeps my medications away from me.
It is all up to you with your Wife, however if you feel the need not to explain, I am surprised how you have managed to hide it from Her, does she not have some idea something is wrong
I had my Birthday on the 28/08 so happy Birthday when you get there. Now at seventy it is a sobering situation so I tried to push my Age to the back of my Mind.
If you are with family and Siblings you know the dynamics of your own family.
Do whatever you feel is correct and if they are able to have a Broad Mind regards your Health Concerns
Are you seeing your GP, or taking medications. Have you had a course of CBT
