I think my husband is suffering from depression maybe? It’s been hard during lockdown as he’s been stressed with work and then at home we are all around all of the time. So he doesn’t get any moments to himself. Last week he said he wished he didn’t exist. What answer can I give to that? We’ve been married 18 years and have 2 children, 16 and 12. I love him and have told him that but lockdown has been hard on all of us.

Ask him to see doctor?
It is a difficult time at the moment, many marriages and family relationships are breaking down because being locked up with family over long periods prevents people having me time on their own. I know with our relationship even after forty years of marriage life together can sometimes get stressed. However in my case relationships at home have strengthened even with the odd bark at each other
I do not know where you are in the world, although here in the UK Lock-down has eased and we are able to take the dog out for walks, in the countryside or on the beach. You can now go out for a meal together or have a possible run out as a family. Try and address His concerns. With people getting back to work, many are loosing their jobs and that of course worries many men, women because loosing income.
Look for interests your family enjoy together. Does your husband meet friends during the weekend etc. for a drink, normally. It is all to do with getting back your life once more
If you feel the need to get your Husband to see the Doctor, try and get him to go. Although remember try not to push, just get him to understand your fears and worries, try not to push in a negative way

I think he has always been used to having time alone/own space and we are always there at the minute
Where do you live in the World ?.
We seem now to be allowed to travel around now so we go out together and take the Dog out for walks. This afternoon we took Pax out for a walk on the Beach and people where out the watching the Dolphins and Porpoise, there was about ten of them at different parts of the beach and I suppose everyone was watching them. Sad to say we had not taken out Binoculars today so it was a shame. Tomorrow we have tickets to visit a National Trust property with restricted access, so we are beginning to get out and about now. Even if you can get out to a park in your area, have a walk and get some fresh air Generally we only go out together the only time we are not together is when I attend meetings. Although now they are done on the Internet.
What does your husband enjoy when He goes out on His Own.
