Struggling

My hole life is changing moving house I have the best house no doubt I just feel odd normal or not?? I just feel odd. Can someone help me as I just want to be happy this is so silly .

Nothing wrong with how you feel, you are starting a new life in a new home with all that entails. Enjoy the change. We felt the same way when we moved to here. It is always the first night that can get to me.

No doubt house is amazing and cannot get any better. I wanted this for 2 years . Just do not like change . Need to plan.

Getting something you have wanted for two years, you have achieved what you have wanted and now you have your reward.

Where we live having moved near ten years ago we spent the first day exploring the garden sheds and all the cupboards, my wife went around the gardens and identified all the plants and flowers left by the old owner. We had purchased two semi detached cottages and was preparing for the builder to knock both of them together so most of our furniture was still in storage, So we had to arrange to live in one side while the builder started knocking down interior walls. While another group knocked down exterior walls to put in patio doors. It was one big mess for six weeks. Knocking down fences was really good fun

You will have plans what you wish to do, you will also be excited

The house needs nothing done best in area and just a choice of my paint another wise fine The garden is dead never seen any plants strange people . I will deep clean everything . Takes a few days to know where to un pack stuff to . I have plans I am trying not to be excited until I move in does that sound bad as we have chains and things may not go to plan ?? I want to change garden and in a few years have porch and clock room toilet .

We are still working in the garden after ten years, in the last twelve months we have been putting in a new border, it is just a work in progress. In many ways we never finish. I find if we are not careful we upgrade the property and we change it to much.

What are your plans for your new home, it will hopefully divert your thoughts away from your Depression

I did not know I was depressed ? Just feeling odd :). House other than garden and painting needs nothing done really happy with that . I am focusing on packing . Sadly some of my drawings have had water damage had no idea drying my hair went on the frame bit upset as some amazing horse drawings cannot be replaced . Learn from it not to have drawings in room . I have loads of course work to do and very stressed hitting deadlines is hard when you work and have stress with family .

Granddad been unwell etc .

Are you concerned about change and all the packing and moving on, that can prove stressful.

No not bad, Like you I hate change, especially if I need to walk away from places I loved or got used to in my Life. I was forced out of our old home because of damage caused by environment Agency. My family had lived there since 1933 and I was in all intents and purposes moving sixty miles away near to a town I knew very little on and also a village of only twenty five houses, I was wondering if I would not settle in however everything worked out very well.

You enjoy this adventure.. a new place too live, you have achieved something you wanted, enjoy
