Good Grief!

Even with the shops closed I'm still spending money, what is wrong with me? I thought that I had come out of that bad habit last yr as we REALLY can't afford for me to be doing so as it means that we'll run out of money faster!

You need to keep a record/account of what you are spending and then you will be more careful and you need to save because it looks like we are going to be in this situation, longer. Be very careful!

Shopping is a coping mechanism. But, as others have said, be very mindful that things may be tough for awhile.

I know it's hard but try to reel yourself in.

Stay safe

How about writing a "wants" n "needs "list.Kinda gives u a better perspective on things after u write it.

Then write a pros n cons list about ur spending.

That should def help ya see maybe some purchases arent necessary "right now"...and maybe could be at a better time.

Hello Hero

How are you spending money the shops are all closed.

We have purchased a lot of stuff for the garden and of course we need to buy food etc. Write a list of your needs to purchase food etc and try not to deviate from that.

We have been buying Strawberry Plants, and various loppers etc to train the trees.

Some Fruit Farms have been selling off plants because they are concerned they will not be able to get Europeans to pick fruit this year, so we are planning more crops than normal in case there will be shortages of vegetables and fruit this year,

Thanks all, it's online & I'm now resorted to thinking who I can ask to borrow some money & pay back once we're in better times moneywise. I don't even know if my other plan to get some money out of my pension early due to not being able to work has happened

I had no choice but but to take my little bit of 401k out and and i never dreamed it had already lost a lot of money since february and when i had to take the test out they took more than half of what was left! I still can't believe I barely got anything. 😥 At 57yrs old with no job and health issues I'm very afraid of the future.

Just done another shopping trip online, this is the last, it has to be!

We're trying asking friends, but none want to know & help us in our hr of need 😭 Cancelled my Prepayment Certificate today so that's gonna save a little bit xtra each mnth, might get some money back, guess that's what sparked the spending

God please give me more self control & let someone come to our aid 🙏🙏
