hi and welcome to you if your feeling a lot better maybe you can come off them and see how it goes.

Welcome Bussy

Three months is generally no time at all, six weeks is about the time for the drugs to work.

You need to discuss with your Doctor how long you need to remain on this medication.

Cheers,

I think I will stick with them for now as I’m getting regular, prolonged sleep which is helping my mental health and feel a lot better, will speak to my doctor in 6 weeks I think if all is well then...thanks for the reply👍

Hi, I was on mirtazapine for a year, then I got better so I came off of them.🙄

I was OK for about six months and then things at home stared becoming a struggle again and I realised I wasn't coping. I have now been put back on them for two years since last October. If I get to a stage where I believe I am fine, I will still take them and just enjoy the feeling of being fine, and realise that the mirtazapine is a participant of the fine that I am feeling.

That makes sense Steve, just going to carry on with them for now and see how it goes, don’t like relying on tablets but it may be for the best in the long run,we shall see...thanks for replying👍

No problem, good luck to you.

Bussy

For as long as it takes, you may feel that much better although if you have not been taking them not long, allow a longer period and ask your Doctor what is best for you and your condition, it may be you will need to come off your medications over an extended period under the assistance of your GP

Have you now come to terms of what caused this issue, also have you come to terms with whatever caused your concerns.

I’m not sure about ‘come to terms’ but my anxiety has lessened & sleeping better without recurring nightmares, using the gym a lot now helps too..

i have been disabled now, starting from 1960 now am sixty nine, over time most needs to understand and come to terms with their concerns if conditions are chronic. We live with the problems and get on with life in general, it is so negative to not move on in a more positive outlook, I do not actually suggest this is your case, you may be acute although attitude is so very important. Life can last a long time, I can stand miserable over shortish periods, however I really need to move on and still remain happy at various levels
