I spend everyday with my boyfriend as he came back from university and had a gap year and couldn’t find a job around his area as he doesn’t drive. Recently he has found one and is certain he will get the job after having his interview today. I don’t work or do education as I suffer a lot with anxiety/low mood and physical pain mainly. Does any one feel the same or have any advice on how to deal with your boyfriend going to university, working and hobbies? Going from spending all of your time with him to being on your own and barely seeing him? I feel like everyone is moving on in life and I’m just stuck doing nothing but the fact it is my boyfriend is really hitting me hard. I don’t know how to be on my own and fill my time :(. We live with his Kim so it will just be me and her at home when all of this starts. Super scared and sad

Hello Krasykat
Thank you for your message. It sounds as if you are having a struggle with these issues.
It must be very difficult to concentrate and do things with pain and low mood.
Have you seen your doctor for more help with the pain and low mood? If the pain is chronic your doctor may be able to refer you to a pain clinic.
Some activities can be therapeutic and help with pain and low mood and might also help you to cope while your boyfriend is working. Do you have an interest or hobby you could develop? Do you have other friends or family you can spend some time with?
The topics and pinned posts might have more advice.
Members what do you do to help in these situations, perhaps you have more suggestions for krasykat.

Hi
when I was first diagnosed and house bound I was like you and everything was negative.
Then I started doing online courses and got a degree but the main thing was I kept busy.
Even though it was from home.
It's worse if you don't find something to occupy your mind, I enjoyed doing the courses
and it helped me feel I was doing something useful.
I hope you feel better soon and that this might be an option for.
Regards
Eian
