I know exactly what you mean... but for me the difference now with my anxiety is that Iā€™ll always wanna run home. Uncomfortable at a setting where I canā€™t just leave. Thatā€™s why I chose to work from home and it kinda just fell onto my lap. Itā€™s been 5 yrs for me and I canā€™t imagine going back to the work field. But for you my friend (as Iā€™m having an episode), be honest with your interviewer. If you donā€™t know the answer then explain bc youā€™re suffering from anxiety but youā€™re reliable. Be honest about it some way shape or form. Itā€™ll make you feel better. Letā€™s say you feel like you wonā€™t get that job, well then that goes to show theyā€™re not compassionate and the job wasnā€™t meant for you. Look, I feel nervous all the time like I AM going to an interview even though Iā€™m just laying down. Thatā€™s the example I give to people of what itā€™s like to step into my shoes. The ones that donā€™t get it. As far as family and how you feel worse but didnā€™t really ask for any of this that youā€™re going through, explain to them that youā€™re trying. This is something youā€™re dealing with and itā€™s paralyzing you in every way. I know they love you and understand even though they may not say the right thing to you about it. I still gotta remind people how to talk to me and EVERYDAY I still feel like a burden to my bf who does it all bc Iā€™m afraid all the time. And it truly sucks. The battle in our minds wear us out to the point that after youā€™re episode is over, youā€™re physically drained! Not bc weā€™re lazy.. trust me itā€™s like we didnā€™t ask for this. It was just handed to us bc of how we dealt with things and now itā€™s just become somewhat out of control and weā€™re still learning how to manage it all. I get it my friend..

I would vet scared to ask them or tell them I donā€™t understand a question because I wouldnā€™t want to be looked at as dumb or anything šŸ˜©! I understand it always feels like youā€™re on edge just preparing yourself thats how i feel im just so incredibly shy too which makes everything much worse and i turn tomato red lol ! But god knows im not lazy i wanna be able to do things and accomplish it šŸ˜thanks for your words ā¤ļø

Hi I wouldn't volunteer any info about your issues unless they ask specifically about them, or ask if you have any issues which might interfere with the job. I assume you wouldn't be applying for a job where you might have issues so just answer no. If they ask you directly then don't lie and tell them but downplay it. All they are concerned about is can you do the job or not? x

Just look smart and definitely no jeans! x

Hi. The world is your market!

What's your passion? Think about how you can create a business or trade that you can run online. All you need is a product or service to offer and a website / social media etc. It's the future and people don't have to see you or hear you if you don't want that. Many people do this kind of work. Look at the bloggers who just share their lives and get paid for it!

There is so much to try and it's less risk online. You don't have to use your own name either! Start researching on Google about options. Good luck! šŸ˜Ž

You've found your starting point - make up.....now find a way you can work on improving your skills... any courses at local colleges?? Ask at local salons etc XX as for the tech side of things there may be short courses at a local college?? Now's the time to be applying - and you can do it online! GOOD LUCK - let us know how you get on šŸ˜

Try some voluntary work, it worked for me and it helped to give me purpose in life.

I was retired on health grounds many years ago and I used to attend a Mental Health Day Centre and would help in their Information Shop, they helped me and I was shown how to use their computers and listen to members concerns like they did for me. It gave me more confidence when helping others and I also began to trust, that had been lacking after loosing my job. I also took quite a few courses and that helped to extend my interests.

You will find it will be easier to get a good job if you are taking part in other interests in the voluntary field in fact you may become employed working in the centre you choose.

I should try volunteering! It will probably get me to open up more like Iā€™m really talkative and know how to keep a conversation going . I can be so outspoken but i just fear rejection thats all šŸ˜©

in reply to nickyyyy61

We all fear rejection if we suffer Anxiety or depression. Mixing with people who understand how you feel are very supportive and will actually listen to you.

Voluntary work worked for me, I do not do it now, the centre I was attending is over sixty miles away, however I do miss those who help me and others.

That's a great idea. No person likes rejection! You have to push yourself outside your comfort zone to move on in life. Good luck!

What about working from home on ur computer??? Maybe start at something super easy..with super low stress.Do u like animals? Sometimes working with animals can really help those of us with medical issues. If I didn't have my pets..I don't know what Id do.

I donā€™t have a computer i mean i have a laptop but no wifi lol and if i was to work from home how does that work ? And of course , i love animals i have alot of pets šŸ˜ā¤ļø

in reply to nickyyyy61

The first thing to do is make sure that you do have Wi-Fi at home and a computer that you can use. If you can't do this then go to coffee shop with wifi and use your laptop there. Use Google to research what jobs people do from home and go from there. Everybody has to start out like this. Let us know how you get on āœŒšŸ¼ļø
