Hi I am new to this website, and I suffer from being lonely even though I am married, I live in Keswick, Cumbria, yes everyone say's it is a lovely place to lived. But it's so hard to make any friends here I have try so many different groups, but each one I join, they all know each other, and are very clinkery, I have no family, or friends, here, my husband hasa family in Carlisle, but they are not close to both of us. Over a year now I have suffer with depression and anxiety, I wish I could meet others, like myself, to help each other and become friends.

Thank you yes I am glad that I have found this wesite.

I used to live in a Market town where my family had lived since 1933. It was about the same as Keswick, Clickey!!!! We moved to a small village, Hamlet with only twenty six houses. The difference here it is full of temporary incomers so we never know anyone. Most of the houses are rented and we are i of six houses that are private owned. We find it very quiet we never see anyone. All I could suggest is join a club or centre that is attached to the Council or a Society within the area you have moved into. Go to the library they will have lists of places or Organisations you can join.

We spend time gardening or going on days away at this time of year. You will settle it just takes time

Thanks for your info, I have lived in Keswick, nearly 7 years, I have joined u3a, linedancing, Bread making group, meditation group, friendship club, loads of different things, I would move from here, but the crime rate is nearly nil compared to Birmingham, whereI am from.
