Do you get mania/hypomania symptoms or if you're already in mania/hypomani does it get heightened when something is happening like an event you're excited about. Like do you get over the top excited compared to the people around you and then feel more down after it then them?

For people with bipolar
Having had bi polar for over 20 years I only had one manic episode which ended with me having hospital treatment. I have taken Lithium since and managed a full time job and looked after 3 sons. I wonder if you are on medication? In answer to your question I would say that it is possible to have a heightened experience whilst becoming excited by what is happening around you. I personally have been fine for all these years, no one knows I even suffer with bi polar. Bi polar is high's and low's but not if managed correctly. If you feel your medication is not working then go back and see your Doctor and get a referral. Hope this helps xx
It can depend on mostly the environment you find yourself in.
Are you taking medications to help you control your condition ?

I haven't found out yet i have to call up my Gp to find out. My therapist sent the details to my gp. it could be a few weeks.
When I was younger, also at work I would have periods of what I would call cooking with gas. Where I would work or experience life in a rapid form. I would feel high as I found myself in what I called, Rapid mood. My work or activities were very accurate and I would push through a great deal of work and associated activity. Another thing I was able to multitask, Do three or more jobs in quick succession.
When I was on Think Tanks and other activities I could brainstorm, my problem was I would crash down, slap down and my mood would hit the floor. Then I would become exhausted
Now with my Chronic Short Term Memory Disorder that has all past and moved on.
I always found the rise remarkably useful to me and I enjoyed the rush.
