I am late diagnosed Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD. Etc at age 65, 6 years ago. Anxiety is a symptom of Autism & Chronic Anxiety was already on my medical records but I didn't know. It is a challenge to try & avoid a trigger that causes anxiety. It's inevitable that something will happen that I hadn't planned to happen. That's life. This year I have had a blood test for prostate cancer - no guarantee to be totally negative but ok for now. This week I had a stage one memory test. Another blood test revealed I have Anaemia & a second stage memory test will be necessary plus another blood test.
I will continue to enjoy being active despite 2 hernias in less than 10 years. Life is challenging but enjoyable in South Yorkshire.

I am fascinated that you received such a diagnosis at 65! Wow! Were you surprised? I am a former teacher and taught several wonderful kids who had Autism diagnosis. I hope the prostrate comes out ok. So many advances in medicine now. 🙂
Thank you. Not really surprised but relieved to have a reason for being a problem child. It's amazing how many people I tell my story to, who are nurses, special needs workers, teachers etc or have a relative on the spectrum. They are all sympathetic. I was usually near top in Maths but near bottom in many other subjects. Being abused & bullied also added to my struggle & it was hard to concentrate.
You are a uniquely wonderful human being to have endured all of those challenges and turned out ok. South Yorkshire is blessed to have you as a fellow citizen. It is great you are staying active. When will you hear about the prostate?
