Hi Eloisenewton1244,

Do you have a night time routine in place? I find that is helpful for me. Is it that you have a hard time fall asleep? If so, have you ever used melatonin?

Hi Eloisenewton1244 and welcome to this caring community. We are not at our best when we do not get sufficient sleep/good quality sleep. Can you think of anything that may have caused this? Often, a stressful life event can cause changes in sleep routine. As Robinrenae has posted, it is helpful to have a night time routine.

I have found a couple of useful websites which I hope will be helpful to you-----

Please make an appointment to see your GP if you are still experiencing problems with sleep. Are any other members able to help Eloisenewton1244, please? Thank you and best wishes.

Oh, Eloise, you precious dear one. It is no wonder you are having a hard time getting to sleep.

As suggested by Robin, a regular nighttime routine , done at the same time, can help promote sleep. For example, put away any electronic devices. In a drawer, or somewhere away from your bed. There is evidence coming out that electronic devices can interfere with sleep. Shower or bathe, brush teeth, get into jammies. Reading always helped to lull me to sleep, but you may find something else helps more. A few suggestions: music of light rain, or a babbling brook, or anything soothing, turned down low. Lights out, or at least dimmed. Imagine something pleasant, and low-key, and rerun it in your mind.

Don't expect instant results. Your mind will need to adjust to being on a regular schedule. Give it at least two weeks, maybe more, to decide if this works for you.

I am sending calming nighttime hugs to you. Hope this helps! :)

Not falling asleep at the right time, what is your right time ?

If we go to bed at the same time at night, also you awake at the same time every morning and get up, that is the habit of sleep you should sleep and possibly awake several times before getting up

If you go out at night, you go to bed later and you rise earlier you will possibly break your sleep patern, if your sleep is frequently broken your body may need to learn new times you go to bed and get up, this can be made worse if you are chewing up your day and sleeping upon problems, even if you are following a regular sleep pattern.
