I am having the team of professionals involved in my care all attending a meeting about me on Tuesday. I find it really surreal because it’s good to get support but I also find it a little embarrassing / uncomfortable as not sure what will be said. My psychologist is amazing so I know she will have my back, just curious has anyone else had this?
Midwife / Perinatal MH nurse / psychologist and whoever else will be there!
My ocd and anxiety is through the roof 🙂
thanks for reading x x

They will understand you being nervous . I think it will be interesting to see if they have anything different to say and who will be the dominate one . My Doctors are always passing me off to the next guy . There seems to be a pecking order in my group and they only communicate through me . If I had them altogether I think they would be more accountable. Let us know how it goes. Pam
Hi Stralight_ftm, It sounds like the MDT (multi-disciplinary team) are onboard and taking your case and situation seriously. It's great that your psychologist is so supportive. Maybe you would like to take along a close family member or friend for moral support to give you reassurance? Consider before hand, writing down a list of concerns, questions that you want answered, and either your or your friend can write the answers as the conference progresses, so you can refer back to it once you are home, as your anxiety levels may make you forget important things you want and need to know. Alternatively, ask if you can voice record the meeting on your phone as aide memoir (bear in mind they may not like that due to confidentiality etc, but it's worth asking).
Thank you for your reply. I am not going I believe it’s just a professionals meeting but psychologist apt is the following day so I’m sure she will be open and honest about what was discussed. For me it’s more the thought that an email been sent round regarding me and inviting them to a meeting to discuss me, I just find it surreal! Maybe it’s making things feel real too? Either way anxiety is so high! I also am waiting to hear from dwp regarding pregnancy so that’s also increasing anxiety! Lots going on
On another note - what does MAS stand for ? I’ve always wondered when saw your name hehe
