Hello everyone,

I am posting this because regrettably we have had to remove a recent post that was from an underage member. We have contacted the member with advice and information of services that can provide the appropriate level of assistance to help them through this difficult time.

Our thoughts are with the member and hope that they will soon have the help that they need.

Best wishes to all our members.

MAS Nurse.

Hi Mas_Nurse, Members who respond to underage posters know better. I'm not sure why they go ahead and do so any way. Some of these youngsters sound like they're playing up . I wouldn't want to make a miss call myself. You are ever vigilant. Pam

Some members seem to disagree with the 16 or over rule so will reply regardless Pam. They don't seem to understand the potential danger for minors on an adult site eg grooming etc. x

Thinking of myself, as I tend to do, I don't feel as free to express myself if youngsters are around. I suppose they can come on and read though.

...and what about that underage person is desperate and needs help, but gets removed from a forum supporting mental Heath issues , just because of its T&C's?

Age has no limits!

I suggest you re read the admins post!

'We have contacted the member with advice and information of services that can provide the appropriate level of assistance to help them through this difficult time.'

The age limits are HU's rules not the sites. If the site breaks the rules then it could be kicked off which would defeat the object. As we are on HU's platform then I guess they have a right to impose rules and if we don't like it then we have a choice to stay or leave.

If you disagree with rules here why not contact HU, tell them and ask them for the reasons behind them?

Fair point Hyper.

I strongly believe the help a more mature, experienced person who has/is dealing with depression to someone 'under the age' outways T&C's , and also backlash from people who should know better!

I didn't enjoy my youth struggles with depression and obsession, nor did my parents , family dr, friends or siblings, I was isolated because I was immature to reach out and when I did, wow, the youth of embarrassment, shame and non acceptance was clear to see.

Maybe that's how this 'under age' poster felt...and sure as hell feels a lot worse than what they did at the time of posting.

Well the admin helps them so they are not left alone. I understand children's sites are much more heavily monitored then adult ones so they are safer on there than here.

Also the adult content on this site is not always suitable for them and could potentially harm them. x
