Good morning, We just wanted to send a quick message about a few recent under age posts on the Mental Health Support Community. It is with much regret that we have had to do this but please be reassured that we have answered in 'chat' all of them with as much helpful resources and information as we can.
Best wishes MAS Nurse

If I recall the admin asked them how old they were. I looked in their profile and they stated they were 15. As we all should know the minimum age allowed on here is 16. A few members obviously didn't realise this or didn't care and still replied to them.
I reported the under age member to the admin immediately and this is what we should all do. The 16 rule is HU's and is for legal reasons. x
Unfortunately you've misunderstood my comment. I wasn't commenting on the under age posts she removed, I was asking why two posts later she replied to an underage user 15 (which was shown on her profile and in her introduction) that she liked her poem or words to that effect? She later went on to make seven more posts mostly poems and the one about her family circumstances which I reported? I see today they have finally all been taken down as they should so unfortunately you can't check I'm correct in what I'm saying. So my confusion was why respond to an underage user instead of taking it down?
I presume because the admin didn't think to look in her profile and see she was 15! The admin asked the poster her age like I said.
Don't forget that admins have busy lives outside of this site and they are not paid for the work they do. They work very hard on here to keep us all safe and instead of questioning them we should be grateful to them coz otherwise we wouldn't have a site.
If you are interested then why not offer to be a moderator or an admin yourself? x
I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree then as unfortunately I don't have the paperwork to prove exactly what was said on the specific post and reply I had in front of me when I commented. and you don't have the paperwork to prove what you "recall!"
Are you saying the admin didn't ask the posters age? I can't recall anything else that was said but do clearly remember that coz I was wondering the same thing.
Right for the very last time the admins said somthing along the lines of that was a very nice poem as I do not wish to misquote her! She did not say that was a very nice poem how old are you? Are we there yet?
She did quite a long reply and did praise the poem. She also asked how old she was too which I clearly recall. You are saying she didn't so we will have to disagree on that.
You’re obviously confusing posts as I don’t consider a six word reply to be “She did quite a long reply” I did say we’ll have to agree to disagree four posts back! Anyway have a nice day.
Oh and in response to your question after seeing all the s@@@ some moderators have had thrown at them in the past I wouldn’t take that without being paid for it! Plus I don’t think I’d meet the criteria of being an administrator as ‘I don’t suffer fools gladly and I definitely do not take any prisoners ‘ So any non adherence to the Community Guidelines and the offending posters would be deleted! I think the foundation requires a more subtle approach than mine. I hope that answers your suggestion satisfactorily.
Oh dear words of one syllable needed here! She did quite a long reply to her - at least 10 lines long that I remember. In the course of the reply the admin put in one sentence asking how old she was. It was one sentence out of quite a few. Do you understand now?
When you become a member of this community as part of joining you agree to read and adhere to the rules. Some of these are the site's rules and others are Health Unlocked. The age limit of 16 is HU's rules. If the site breaks HU's rules then it could be kicked off as they are non negotiable then there wouldn't be a site here for anyone.
If you disagree with the terms and conditions here then you must take it up with the site owners and HU. The admins can't change HU's rules and neither can I. If you are unhappy with the rules then you have a choice. Clear enough?
Sadly what you don’t understand is that you are talking about a completely different post to the one I am talking about! I definitely have no intention of talking at crossed purposes any more!
