Hi I feel like I'm being taken the mic out off.everyone else is having a break and I'm nor being given one.having to work 7-6 most of the holidays. I find it too much and hate it being just me and manager who seems to take things out on me and blame me when I struggle doing creative things due to my dyspraxia.its really unfair and I'm feelimg terrified I don't enjoy it at all and feel have been pressurized. Manager said yesterday she needs a break next week what about me.I don't seen to get one just the four day easter weekend which everyone had.I can't relax or anything i hate it and do t know how I will get through a whole 55 hour week next week :(

Thank you think I will have to speak out or they will expect me to do 6 weeks in summer like this.i will have to ask about holiday as thing is too long to wait from February to may half term to take some. I hope holiday is school holidays and not term time

Well UK law doesn't allow anyone to be forced into doing more than 48 hours a week unless you have agreed in your work contract that you will. If not then they are breaking the law. How many hours are in your work contract? They can't legally make you work more than those so I would tell them this is the hours you are going to work in future.

Your employers might think you are happy to work those hours. Have you told them you are not? I don't mean just complaining about it but having a chat with your manager and making it clear. x

Well it's illegal not to be given a work contract if you are considered employed. If you are considered self employed then that's a different matter. I see you are in the UK? Most solicitors will give you a free half hour so seek one who does employment law. x

More and more employers are getting away with treating people so badly all they care about is profit. Please speak out I have known people to work them selfs to the point of being in hospital. You can't work so many hours and keep it up your health will be affected in the long run. Employers are getting away with breaking the law all the time these days. I hope you seek citizens Advice maybe they can report them or warn them .

If you don’t feel comfortable talking to your manager because you have tried and she got moody with you, you should go above her , whoever her manager is, contact them explain that you have tried to approach your manager but you don’t feel like she is treating you fairly and you find it difficult to approach her, because of how she reacts when you try speak to her, and explain your situation. You are entitled to holidays and breaks throughout the day. Tell your manager you want to book a holiday & if she doesn’t let you, you can tell her manager that aswell, I’m pretty sure if you go above your manager, something will be done, because she is treating you unfairly. Good luck
