Self harm scars and pe

So I’m going back to school next week and I have scars up both arms and on my thighs and stomach. I have to wear a short sleeved polo shirt and I’m really worried people will see my scars and comment on them. I’m really self concious about them. What can I do? Shall I talk to my teacher about it?

Don't be worried about what others say. If they don't want to understand that's on them! If they are that bad, then just ask your teacher politely to wear long sleeves. If you don't wear the uniform you may be questioned anyways. It's your body and up to you. I understand your self conscience about these scars but they tell your story and how brave you were to choose to live. I'm so happy you're hear and if you're not ready to share this part of your life just talk to the teacher

Whatever you choose we will support it! Proud of you!

Could you wear a long sleeve top under your polo top? Try not to worry, it will be ok.

You can try talking to the teacher and explaining as much as you feel comfortable telling them. Maybe you and wear a long sleeve matching color Under Armour moisture wick type shirt under your polo. Keep your head up

And don’t worry about what the others think. You’ll be out of school soon enough and won’t see most of them ever again.
