I hate myself for all the mistakes I made. I don't know what to do any more. Useles helpless hopeless and almost penyless. At 56 seems all doors are shut.😢

Oh my Dear, who hasn't made mistakes? You can't name one person. I know our own always seem worse than those of others, but does it really matter? I have made so many over my 70 years. The ones that bother me the most are centered around my marriage and my children. I would like some do overs , I bet you would too. I am a retired art teacher and I got my dream job when I was 50. I loved it so much I would have paid them. You never know what's ahead whatever your age. Keep yourself ready and your skills sharp be prepared for what will come your way. Learn from the mistakes you have made and then let them go. Pam

You are so welcome. Just remember to work on one thing at a time,.If you try to change everything at once you'll be over whelmed.. Pam

Hello fkbakhsh and welcome to the forum. Sorry to read that you are feeling so negative. As Sweetiepye said, who hasn't made mistakes? We can learn from them and turn them into positive experiences. No one knows what is around the corner. At 56 you are still young enough to take and embrace new opportunities. I once wanted to take a part time course at college, but I was unsure what to study. I looked through the college brochure and saw all the courses on offer and found what I wanted. This could help you also. Some counselling may help you to talk through your feelings and help you see things more clearly. This can be arranged through your GP. Please stay on the forum for support. Best wishes.

The door to the future is wide open. And the others have cat flaps. You don't have to go out, but let them come in. There are people that love you. Take care
