Always depressed

I’m always feeling depressed no matter what time of the day it is. I have a failing business, bad credit, student loans, no association with my family and no friends. It seems like I just can’t catch a break with anything that I attempt to achieve. Which indeed makes me so depressed that I don’t eat, go anywhere or even talk to anyone. I was diagnosed with depression at the age of 21 but I refused to take any meds because I always felt like I was in zombie mode and that I’m 36 I’m just a awful wreck. I feel so disconnected from the world that I honestly think about just killing myself every other day because it’s not like I matter to anyone anyways. I’m always hurting on the inside just emotionally damaged. I honestly don’t know where I’m headed or what to even do at this point.

Hi curtisbrntlyjr nice to meet you and welcome to the site. No wonder you are depressed with what you are going through and I think it would affect anyone adversely.

I can't make any suggestions about your business or debt but do think you need to see a doctor for treatment for your depression. Not all meds would make you feel like a zombie and you will probably find one which could help you. Have you thought about counselling as well?

I see tacking your depression as your main priority then you will find it easier to sort out your other problems. x

Hi and thanks for the reply. I’ve started searching for counselors in my area and I’m very open to taking medication because somewhere down the line i didn’t take heed to the warning that I had received from a previous counselor telling me that unless I take medication I will always struggle with depression because I had been diagnosed with it and not to mention the suicideal thoughts that are weighing me down. I thought with me being 36 years old I would surpass this phase but apparently not. I just want to have healthy thoughts and slowly put my life back together but it is such a huge struggle.

I know exactly how you feel. I feel the same as my life has been messed up so many times. I currently have nothing to show for my life. I do though find that 5-HTP natural supplements help my mood. naturesbest.co.uk/5-htp-tab...

Completely natural and they do lift my mood to allow me to make some kind of plan for the future. Good luck.
