Welcome to this site Zura

There are many here who have their own coping techniques. In my case I use Relaxation Techniques, Mindfulness is the one they use at this time and Breathing Techniques. You will find explanations on the web.

I also use Diversion Techniques, where I have hobbies or activities that I can enjoy, these lift the mood and can help you move on in various ways

Thanks Bob this is very good advice. Does anyone suffer with walking in and out of doors without constantly returning to go through the whole process again.

Heard about that Zura

I generally get pushed in the back by doors as I am so slow.

Take care here to help

Hi this sounds like OCD which has it's roots in anxiety. There is help for this nowadays. Do you have access to a doctor?

Hi Zura, there is a very good Pinned post to the right of your screen. Have a look at @Pulling the Trigger books' post that could explain a lot to you also are there any other members out there that can help and say hi to Zura please? Take care.

I go in and out of doors with anxiety . Not knowing what am I doing or forgotten what I am supposed to do there. At that time, I try to recognise what's happening, sit for a second, try to calm down.. I tell my brain , actually talk to it.. 'it's OK (my name) sit down now, there's nothing important than yourself'

Hope this helps

Hi Zura, welcome to the forums.

Do you know your anxiety? I found that it was easier to figure out how to cope once I knew more about my own anxiety. I started to watch myself and trying to figure out when, how and why I felt my anxiety, how i felt it in different ways and recorded my thoughts and "logic" so that i could reflect on it on a good day. This way i started to understand it more. For me, it can be enough to sit at the computer and look at pictures from places I like and read an article on a subject that interests me. I will put some calm piano music on, which I love, and just try to forget about the real world for a few minutes. Maybe you can start by observing you anxiety from a different angle and understand it better. We are here for you!
