There's no magic wand for anxiety /depression I've suffered on and off for three years. Tried all the self help had therapy and medication. It comes from nowhere when you think you've cracked it. I'm trying a different approach now.. the only person who can help me is me, so when I'm having bad days I make myself to do something to keep busy. Today's not a good day so I've cleaned (again) took my grand daughter home and noticed Sainsbury s was open so I did some shopping. I did feel better probably because I was doing something. I hope you can find a way to manage your anxiety because I've come to the conclusion its always there we just have to find ways to live with it. Take care and be kind to yourself xx

I wish I had the energy to keep busy but I suffer with fatigue due to another illness. I have to find a quite space (impossible at work but slightly easier at home) and I just lay down. My ‘place’ is actually the rug on my bathroom floor and I stare out of the skylight. I then just try and breathe, slowly, and try and put my head somewhere else. Works sometimes! Being in control of your breathing definitely helps, especially when you start to feel your heart race and pound. I am also on medication but I don’t think that does a great deal anymore!

I hope you find something that works for you...if there is someone you could talk to, maybe that would help but sometimes it’s difficult for others to understand. Take care.

Well, that went well.. had an awful day today, anxiety through the roof, shaking, fuzzy head etc, worst symptoms for a while, my keep busy advice went out of the window i couldn't get motivated to do anything, spent the day sitting on sofa doing nothing, scrolling through phone. I've written this day off now and will see how tomorrow goes.

I’m finding social media is really causing me issues to handle the anxiety so limiting that is a smart option.

Don’t be hard on yourself, this time of year is quite hard for a lot of people feeling it. I’ve been listening to positive mindset and fitness podcasts, some are very good looking at things differently and can be at times relaxing
