I feel exhausted, not like sleepy exhausted but emotionally and physically exhausted. I feel like I'm stuck in some time loop every single day. I wake up near about the same time every morning and do the same thing every single day. I'm only 22 but my god I have seriously fucked my life up already.
It's scary to think that in 5 years I am going to be the exact same.. and no matter how hard I think about wanting to change I cant. I have not go the motivation to even get dressed and go outside. And when I do have to go outside it will only be for a couple of hours and then I probably wont go out for another couple of weeks.
Even when I look in the mirror (which I try not to do a lot) I have no idea who the hell is staring back at me. People say it is so easy to put on a fake smile but when I try my mouth feels so forced and I can't 'fake smile' for long.
I don't want to be one of those people that say 'oh I hate everything about my life, poor me' but I genuinely do hate everything about my life from my appearance to my voice and personality.

Hello Steph
Talk to your GP if you have not already, make a list of your problems and that will help you remember what you want to say and explain.
It is all part of life, getting up at the same time, do the same most days and put up with people we would prefer not to be with, welcome to the world of the mundane. I am sixty seven nearly and believe me we make our life how it is. We all need to address the boredom and negativity by looking for diversions and things we enjoy doing.
No-one can actually tell you how to beat the mundane, that is in your hands. We can suggest, it is up to you to act and make your life more meaningful, also enjoyable
Hi Stephloiseharibo ,welcome to the forum. As borderriever has suggested, please make an appointment to see your doctor to discuss with him/her how you are feeling. It does help to make a list of your problems and how you are feeling to take to the appointment. How long have you been feeling this way? You will feel better when some treatment and support has been put in place. Please continue to post on here and let us know how you are doing. Have a look at the posts to the right of the screen Related, Pinned and Topics, which may be helpful to you. Remember that you are not alone. Best wishes.
I understand. We do change a bit. What do you do, do you work etc or not? pm anytime. Please stop giving yourself negative messages-they haven't helped have they?! Try more positive one's. Try small steps.
Hi Steph. Sorry you're having a tough time. It's hard to be positive when you feel down but it really does help. It sounds like you struggle to go out so it would be good to find a coping strategy as soon as possible, maybe through counselling or mentoring, to ensure you can get out daily. I often stay in when I'm depressed and anxious and it doesn't help and just gets harder and harder to leave the house. It allows too much time to overthink everything!! We can drive ourselves mad thinking what we don't like about ourselves, making comparisons etc. so it's good to have routine which can seem boring but is good for our mental health. Please go and have a word with your doctor and get help. All good wishes Mags x
