How to get out and about

When you've been in a low and the depressive fog is still around and the anxiety and thoughts are still attacking you as and when they feel like it and your tired and can barely be bothered to move and the answer is to get out and move. Please tell me how do you do it , how do you find the energy to get out, how you overcome the anxiety to just get out and go for a walk? The world seems so so scary at the moment

Need to be happy, I know the feeling of not wanting to get up and do anything. I know you'll expect this but you really have to make yourself. As hard as it is...even just sitting out in the open air on a porch (if u have one). It is overwhelming but if you have a friend around just a short coffee will help. Navel gazing will not help but is so easy to do. Your worth it....grab ahold of life, any thoughts you have of being of no value is a lie. Stop it in it's tracks☺

Hi. I know what you mean, and it's a difficult thing to do. But you know that going outside and breathing in the fresh air while taking in the sunshine is good for you. So it becomes not a matter of how, but a matter of when. You can totally do it, even if it's just a brief walk around the block. I know that for me staying inside for long periods will make me lightheaded and I have to remind myself time and again to go out if only to be around other people for a while. The longer we keep ourselves indoors, the less we're willing to go out. So go out, breathe in some fresh air, bask in the warmth of the sun, and rebuild positive energy

Forcing yourself to do it is the only way. If the anxiety is really bad then how about finding a buddy to join you - for moral support and to help you feel a bit less anxious.

Good luck!

Thank you for your responses and totally get each and every one of you! Do you find it difficult though to walk down the road when your head feels so low.... it's such a strange feeling. Butt yes I suppose I just have to get out and do it but sometimes just getting dressed is knackering.... I'd love my old energy back I'm finding this hard to accept
