So what about some action then... Have seen your doctor, look to work on problem solving, diet, exercise.
Hello Willo, so many of us on this forum know what it is to struggle with depression and anxiety so you are one of many and not alone in that sense. To cope with these is very difficult but there is help available, medical help.
Unfortunately it is not as simple with these conditions as a quick visit to the GP and one comes out cured . However it is essential for you that you get what help the medics can give. You don't say whether you have visited a GP but if not this is your first priority , you can't fight this without help. Your GP will see many patients with depression and should be able to prescribe medication that won't cure but will help. Finding the right medication for you is usually difficult and you will have to work with your GP and maybe change medications a few times in order to find the right one or ones for you. This eventually will make you feel less alone and lost. Your GP may also refer you for therapy which is an additional help to many.
I don't know as much about anxiety but it often accompanies depression but I believe can be dealt with more easily. There are self help books on techniques such as mindfulness and others which will be available in your local library in the medical section.
No one else can do these things for you and fighting depression and anxiety also relies on you seeking help but also on your own stength and courage. With these and the right medical help there is no need to give up hope with these conditions and most of us go on to lead normal lives with long periods of happiness and some periods of depression which are not nice to put it mildly.
Tomorrow is a new day . Make up your mind that you are not going to be beaten by these illnesses and hang in there as the rest of us do. Use this forum to air your feelings which always helps and when you need advice. I can assure you you have the sympathy of all of us who fight these conditions.

i used to be on Fluoxetine but the doctor stopped it a few years ago i should go back now as things have deteriorated again, but i would say don't suffer in silence , it might be worth going to the doctor but its not easy at all bearing your soul and usually having a good cry in front of them but it could get the support you need and sometimes as hard as it is, it does make you feel like you have got some control back just taking that first step , have you sought help before at all .
