I have been going to the gym, it has stopped me from hitting some people, as I can work away with my headphones in, I try to go first thing in the morning, when it is quieter. I have a lot of things and people that I have had to walk away from, it has helped me get that out, however it so far hasn't helped with the depression or Anxiety, but would recommend trying it x
Yes it's superb if you can motivate yourself to do it. Start small and build up. Walking jogging anything.

In some areas you may be entitled to a scene even for exercise referral if you have significant mental health problems and can't afford gym payments
