You can claim for anything you like but whether or not you get it is another matter. there is no DLA now as it changed to pip several years ago, personal Independance payment.
It is a stand alone benefit and it doesn't matter if you are working or not. It is based not on what you have but how it affects you. See the Govt uK site. x
