Not been sleeping x went to doctor n been given tablets x starting to hurt self x been referred to a cpn x still of work need to find something to do xx

Hi Pinny. Something to do. Exercise (just brisk walking will do) has been measured to be just about as effective as any pills for anxiety and depression. If you live in town walk to a park as I suspect green surroundings might help more than concrete jungle.

Reading (books from library, Kindle books if you have one ) will take you out of your own life and problems for hours at a time and your mind will appreciate that short "holiday'' . Trick is to find books that are fascinating for you but Amazon reviews while far from perfect can help.

Both these activities can "waste" time and are not always productive but they do fill the hours, and they are practically free.

Have you thought of volunteering?

There are plenty of things to do other than second hand shops

One I just found out about is called silverline

It is a new charity supporting lonely old people

After being checked you call an old person for half an hour a week

How amazing to let them chat!

But apart from that like my job is volunteering in a museum.

We sit and have a coffee and chat no training needed no pressure as there are two people if you can't make it

Try googling it for your area

If you need help I am happy to google for you but will need to know your area
