Can be standard proceedure, your GP or CPN will recommend an initial lower dose, then after a short period will increase the dose to what can be called a working dose. This can in some cases reduce initial early side effects.
Nothing to worry about.

I’m on 150 mg. I’m ok with it. However, this is key in my experience. If you drink alcohol they don’t work as intended. Frigate the same. Give it time and be gentle with your self. Chris.
Hi,
I am on a 50mg dose of Sertraline and have been for a number of years.
I don't suffer any side effects. As my dose stays constant I can not really comment on your query.
I do hope you feel the benefit of the increased dosage without any significant side affects
Regards
Andy
Be careful on how much you increase and especially if you are other medications. Taking higher doses for me makes me drowsy and I want to do is sleep. So, I keep taking it on a lower dose.
Hey chais, that'd good to hear yes I am going up to 100mg from 75mg but I have had no side affects from the other MG I have been on. So far they have been good, but I am going up to 100mg from 75mg. What dose are you on x
I take 200 mg of sertraline and have done for more than two years. Only side affect was that it stopped all my different arrhythmias. So for me it is a win win situation.
Hi that's good to hear does the dose you are on does it help with anxiety, it's helping but I still get really bad anxiety and sometimes feel that I can't cope where I have anxiety moments and just get very worried about things and can't talk to anyone. But on other times when I am feeling anxious then I do need to talk but can't find the right person so I thought being on here might help me to chat with people about anxiety x
Brill idea. This is the right place to come. Yes, definitely. I was living (24/7) a anxiety attack and then it decided to up the stakes. It's amazing how our bodies react to too much cortisol. So WELCOME to the site which cares about you :-))
HI. Yes that's what I need to be able to talk to people about my anxiety and how it makes me feel as sometimes I just feel really down in myself and not wanting to talk to anyone which don't help if your feeling down. But yea I have a anxiety moments where I get very anxious and very tearful and don't talk to anyone which makes it worse for as I just hold it all in and don't talk to anyone about how I am feeling as I find it hard. But I thought being on here getting some support might help me. Are you in the UK 🙂
