How's everyone doing today? What are your plans? I'm planning to fight the beast today so I'll be mostly keeping myself busy with the kids. Thinking of steering clear of the parents house today. Bit of a detox is needed I think. Recharge the batteries and all that jazz.

I'm ok today, not wonderful but not deeply depressed. It's sunny here which always helps We're off to M & S for a chicken so I can take some of it cooked with me on the walk tomorrow, then trying some new (secondhand from e-bay and immaculate!) walking boots, maybe I will walk around the block a few times in them a few times to see whether they will do me for 7 miles. If not I will wear my trusty ones. Nothing much else. Oh, I just spoke to my son in China on Skype, he is so difficult to converse with though not a difficult person in other ways, a typical philosopher in that he gets lost in his own thoughts and mumbles - but it was lovely to see and hear him nonetheless
Nothing else to say really, another day with nothing much to do and no one to do it with 
I need to begin to shift that pattern soon otherwise I am likely to feel low during the winter...

If someone else has worn the boots a couple of times, they'll be broken in and probably really comfy to wear. I love hearing about your rambling, it sounds lovely and definitely something I'd like to do if I had more time.
