thanks Hannah.I don't know where I would be without the support if my forum friends.i have been awake since 1am(now 1.50am)and woke to find Annie on my bed.i now im repeating myself but my neck is tight and feels like its being cut with a knife.said this to dr yesterday he looked at my throat and listened to my chest and said they were fine.why cant they accept what you tell them.i said about my stomach being hard and more swollen andof embarrassing bodies programme where woman presented with swollen abdomen and was told it was abdominal muscles separating and she had an op to correct it.thats why I don't understand why gps don't accept these things and investigate further or make a referral.

Maybe you could visit medics you trust and start to build good relationships with them. Also don't believe all you watch on TV. It is usually all staged to make 'good TV'. Try swimming and maybe writing a blog?

I m sorry I disagree.these programmes are about real people not fiction and real conditions.

I am sorry to you are feeling so down. Is it possible to see another doctor? A more understanding one? x

the only two doctors available are a trainee and one other who has a terrible attitude and I refuse to see cos the one time I did see him he was nothign but patronizing.i could see the trainee dr who is under the supervision of my gp who trains them and monitors them but etc as it s in their interest ???

I would go to see the trainee for a 2nd opinion. Fresh pair of eyes is always good, and he will be more keen. Hope you feel better soon xx

thank you Katie.if my neck keeps me awake again tonight then will make an appointment with him/her.i did this a couple of years ago -my gp treated me for nasal sores/bleeding and altho various sprays/creams helped only gave temporary relief.the trainee referred me to ENT btu ENT were a waste of space as only told me what it was not.havent managed so far to get another referral

Because animals don't judge us! Haven't got dogs but love my cats. If I'm down the girl doesn't want to leave my side. Hope you're feeling a little better at the moment anbuma x

hi feeling a bit better today.dr s visits always leave me feeling tearful as dont get answers.dog s have shown nothing but concern today.and unusually quiet.still concerned taht my stomach is rock hard and on tv trauma doctors a man came in with rock hard stomach and was told it was his liver.could be this as had gallbladder removed last august?

Go see another doctor, get a second opinion. The doctors get paid for them to see you, if you dont think your getting the service you deserve, then change!! you have the power to change your life they dont!

Animals are the greatest, they automatically know your not feeling yourself. They train dogs to know about things as they are more sensitive , to smells and the way you move, act, they love us, unconditionally.

If they dont like someone then they know something we dont. So go back make another appointment with another doctor, or ask someone who is happy with their gp, and change to them.

good luck

hi coatpin(unusual user name?)my two definitely know who they like and don't like .my annie hates a woman who lives in the next street and has two staffies.i am sure she barks at them because the woman shouted at her one time.both my previous dog and buster bark(ed) at two men who live nearby and were both alcoholics and always telling them to "shut up"afte being abusive to me.Buster still hates them now.my dogs have sensed it sicne at least last august afte ri had my gallbladder removed and thinsg got ten times worse.

Look after yourself and maybe try not to watch those

Medical things on TV as they will only make you more worried.

Dogs are amazing the way they can read people. Today was lovely and warm here and I had a nice walk. Y the canal.

Hi Anbuma yes it was a lovely day here too, dogs

Don't like the heat , but it was good that you went out, it does us good to get out of the house and breathe the fresh air. Have a nice weekend and look

After yourself.

coatpin, is my house name in france which means house of pine, it is 300 years old. if you add lin to the end of the house name, then you will find out all about my house and other stuff Im doing even though I suffer or live with depression.

Its how you deal with things that count, sod other people, and their beliefs. We know what it is like we live it. So make the best of live, and each day, that you have a good day, you will enjoy it that much more, because you have struggled with so many bad days.

It makes you appreciate more. Dont let your dogs attack, just guide them away from situations in a calm voice, they are trying to protect you. they love you x

Sorry that you;re in such a bad place. I have had different synptoms from you - i felt like i had a migraine in my whole body. i went to an osteopath for a treatment and it really helped - she massaged my head and neck and I ve been feeling great for 4 days. the pain is now starting to return so i am going for another treatment. Its all stress

Hi anbuma. Glad that you're feeling a little better to day and your dogs are still looking after you. I had my gallbladder taken out last year. It won't affect your liver. When we are anxious/depressed we worry about everything, well I do anyway! But our animals are there. Take care xx

Hi Anbuma - I have two dogs and so can understand the comfort yours bring you.

I have no helpful ideas about your physical problems, but a lot of sympathy. Being so stressed by all that is happening can't be helping things either.

This is just a suggestion - you know your situation and the doctors you have to deal with and I don't. However, if my GP and other medics were constantly telling me it was in my head I'd be very tempted to say 'fine, sort that out then' and call them on it. You are clearly feeling unhappy, and who wouldn't in your shoes, and stress can make a lot of health problems harder to cope with. Many people see mental health professionals for depression and anxiety anyway so it's not as though it would be an unusual thing to do.

That doesn't mean I think it is in your head - just wondered if the support and backing of a mental health professional would help you cope with the unhappiness that you must surely be feeling anyway and that may also convince the GPs to take you more seriously.

I wouldn't want you to do anything you felt uncomfortable with so I hope you don't mind my making this suggestion. I have had talking therapy so I do know it can be extremely helpful.

All the very best

Dx
