I can't find a way out of this...

I just wanted to relate to everyone, plus I feel like if I keep my emotions in much longer I might do something I shouldn't. Recently I have moved to a new house and school, I'm feeling so lonely, it's been a half term now, and I thought I would have settled in by now , and I do have people I hang around with, but I just feel so isolated and empty. I get laughed at .I'm constantly being labeled 'emo' because I'm never smiling plus some people have seen my scars.. It's not just because I've moved, I've felt depressed for nearly a year for a number of reasons, I live with my mum in my new house and I miss my dad so badly, they split up because they didnt want a child, also i miss my best mates, recently found out I have some kind of heart condition , and my boyfriend lives where I used to live... Everything just comes together and Sometimes I feel suicidal ... I'm just so lonely and empty... Plus it's nearly my birthday. I just want to be normal again.

Oh Molli, it's never a good idea to bottle things up. There are lots of lovely people you can talk to here and I'm glad you've come on to post tonight. How awful that people are calling you names. I got called things as a teenager and the old saying about sticks and stones couldn't be further from the truth.

Are you able to talk to your Mum about how you are feeling? I wonder if you are carrying some blame for your parents splitting up? Who has told you that they never wanted a child? That's a huge thing to carry on your shoulders.

What about someone at school, Molli? Have you met any kind teachers you could chat to? X

Thank you so much, I will have a talk with my mum about how I feel, hopefully that will make things better (: or yes I could try a teacher , thanks for giving me some options :) xxx

Mollie I feel for you , when you say they see your scars do you mean self harming scars? if so I do hope you talk to your mum ! I am a 50 year old man lol that has been through that! and the suicide attempts apparently(I have no memory of those times at all) also who ever told you your mum and dad split because they did not want kids?? I grew up with a step father for a few years then another then another stepfather , I really think my mum liked wedding cake! I do remember being told as a child by a school friend that my mum and dad had split because they did not want me I was D***** who evers mistake ! but it was so far away from the truth as my father told me 8 years ago when we met up for the 1st time since I was 5! please dont take any notice of stories ask your Dad when you eventually meat him and I would bet it was for other reasons ! please take care and look after yourself!!

I've had a similar situation to this, I broke up with my first love and all my 'best' friends abandoned me in the end, I felt so lonely, I didn't go to school, I nearly failed Sixth Form after all my fuss and worry about not getting in! In the end I just scrapped by into University, then the same thing happened all over again - minus the boyfriend breaking up.

Try not to listen to other people, I got called a slut most of my high school year because I enjoy sex (I did not put it about, I was just open and spoke about it freely) which apparently makes me a slag... Try owning the label it kind of worked for me, just laugh along with them, make jokes about it and yourself, it can kind of take the hurt out of their words, especially if they are trying to hurt you, and you laugh with them, its a failed joke then, might leave you alone.

I had a very good teacher who I could speak too, she helped me a lot, trying to give me advice etc. Maybe speak to a parent or teacher who you feel confident in.

Keep in touch with your other friends, I managed to keep in touch with one of my best friends through sixth form and now University, it's been a great help. If you haven't moved far, try meeting up with them, or even skype calls could be good.

Hope this helps
