What would cause spontaneous prostate stimulation?

What would cause spontaneous prostate stimulation while lying on my back? When I lie down, in a few seconds it feels like someone is manually stimulating my prostate. This lasts for hours at a time and I cannot sleep. This started immediately after a nocturnal emission, and I haven't had one since, even though I usually have them fairly regularly.

1. I am not sexually active in any way.

2. My doctor said I likely have BPH, which may or may not be related.

3. I am age 48, no family history of cancer.

can you ask for a referral to an urologist. It is not a usual symptom of BPH that I have heard of.

You say you are not sexually active in any way. If this includes not masturbating, this may have something to do with it. Did your doctor actually examine your prostate or do any blood and urine tests?

No tests yet, but from what I can tell the symptoms match something called Restless Genital Syndrome (RGS).

I had to look that up. Sounds possible but you should see a Dr. They will likely give you a PSA test too. Since it occurred after a nighttime emission, have you tried masturbating to see if it eases the condition?

Haven't taken any action yet but thank you

Masturbate to orgasm every 3-4 days and the semen will probably diminish in in your seminal vesicles and prostate.

Not what you're looking for?
