Can you please advise what symptoms would be visible if I had
1. Hernia
2. Varocile
3. Epydititis
for the last 12 months my scrotum goes tight with standing or activity. Also my genitals at the same time can feel colder. It is not related to external temperature as it does this even indoors. If I sit or lie down for a period of time all returns normal and loose.
Thanks for your help

1.An inguinal hernia is one of the most common type of hernia, can appear as a swelling or lump in your groin, or possibly an enlarged scrotum.
Your swelling may be painful, lump often appears when you're lifting something and disappears when you lie down.
2. Will have pain, dull, aching pain or discomfort more likely when standing or late in the day
A mass in your scrotum If a varicocele is large enough, may look like a mass (bag of worms) sometimes be visible above the testicle.
Or different sized testicles, (some have anyway) and can cause infertility.
3. The main symptom of epididymitis is pain and swelling in 1 or both testicles.
Epididymitis is normally caused by a STI (sexually transmitted infection) or urinary tract infection, treating with antibiotics
4. Get a visit organised with your Doctor mate, dont be embarrassed, they will check you over, may not be any of the above, and something else your worried over nothing
Thought so I am dealing with the same issues. I tell you it is definitely no fun, dr explained to me that congestion pain is part of vasectomy that most men experience it, in some cases when the epididymis ruptures the patient gets some relief, he also mentioned that when the epididymis ruptures this is what the reason is that vasectomies don't should be considered permanent. Are you testicle hard and quite stiff to feel
I have not noticed a change in testicle itself although I do feel epididymis on back of left testicle is bigger right. Would this be the case if I had vasectomy so long ago though? Does your scrotum also tighten with activity?
Hi again yes I had a vasectomy over 20 years ago, it was your mention tightness in the scrotom and and the coldness of your penis and testiciles, that drew my attention to your page, I have had these feelings since my vasectomy, also i had the plus of never feeling satisfied after the orgasm it felt like I never released, on mention these to my dr, he kept on insisting that it was all in my head, also I had PVPS. quite frankly they know how to sterilise you but dont want to know of any complications, can I ask how do you deal with the coldness and the tightness, tightness can also just be your reaching your orgasm. I am at a loss mate
for tightness of scrotum I am fortunate where I can sit most of the day. In this position I’m ok. If I know I’m going to be standing or active I take ibuprofen and this helps keep scrotum loose and therefore not trigger coldness and discomfort.
I had my vasectomy about 10 years ago but this issue has only been for last 12 months
I believe adrenalin will cause the scrotum to tighten as a protection during exercise. As you stand, maybe your body is getting ready for activity - flight, fight etc. Anxiety raises adrenalin too. Maybe you have stress issue at this time of life? Try relaxation, meditation, mindfulness practice if you think this could be the case. Counnselling / Psychotherapy is never a bad thing to try just as a means of self-awareness and expanding options for living. (Although maybe I'm biassed, as a retired therapist myself!)
