I have been on Bisoprolol due to AFIB FOR THE PAST 8 Months with the only side-effect of a slower Heart Rate when exercising. Since stopping this medication my Heart Rate has increased slightly which has given me more energy when exercising. Has anybody experienced the same thing?

Hi Milou500,
Yes I can agree, I have been on Bisoprolol since a heart attack in Feb of this year. A couple of months after the attack I went to Cardiac Rehab where I worked out quite hard (I have always been quite fit) and during the heavy exercise my pulse rate would never go above 105 ! whereas before it would be around 175 bpm. Since then my resting heart rate is around 48-55 bpm and the only side effect I have found is that I become slightly breathless sometimes when I am resting which the doctor says is due to the low pulse rate.
But all in all I experience the same symptoms as you when exercising.
Kind regards
Thanks for the reply Edcat.
