numbness in fingertips

I have this in my ring finger on my right hand, and I put it down to using a mouse for hours. I've had it for at least a year, maybe two, and as long as it doesn't spread or get worse, I'm happy to live with it. Just hoping it will clear up randomly!
If you're concerned about it, then talk to your doctor.I know that people can get numbness in hands from carpal tunnel syndrome, but also from pinched nerves, even all the way up in the neck.
My ex-wife gets migraines, and numbness in her fingertips will be one of the first symptoms of one starting, along with her seeing spots.
I'm sure there are a number of possible causes. As with most treatable conditions, early detection and early treatment would probably make for the best outcome.
Again, talk to your doctor about it.
