Ramipril

I have been given 5mg to take once a day. Two weeks in I get a bit of hand and feet tingling at night. It seems to come a few hours before the next dose. Tonight I'm getting the tingling in feet sitting watching TV. If I walk around it goes but back again if I sit.

Anyone experience with this effect?

Thanks.

I was on ramapril for 14 years, constant cough, like you say tingling in feet,my tongue started swelling, sometimes to the extent of I needed adrenaline to stop it chocking me. I was sent to castle hill to see what was the cause and was told ramapril, was taken off it immediately. Keep your eye on any side effects and inform your doc

Well I am going to report my tingling feet and hands tomorrow to Dr. My experience with other drugs e.g. tamsulosin may cause me to give up. Can I ask, how long did it take for the tingling to subside? I have missed the last dose and tingling still there as I rest. Thanks.

Following my last post Dr said have a short holiday from Ramipril and that showed it was causing tingling. Queries in my mind before I report back:

1. How worse can the tingling get (I get woken and assuming no other secondary effects kick in)?

2. What is a better ACE Inhibitor? I've heard Telmisartan is good.

3. BP gone up of course once I stopped it and feeling LH and stressed as a result.

Thanks.
