I’ve been working on my feet a lot this summer as I am a uni student and working over the holidays. I’ve had problems with chaffing before, and especially since I started this job. But I’ve never chaffed here. So I don’t know if this is a bad rash or if it could be an STI.
The picture I’ve attached shows it. And it’s like between my ballsack and my leg
Apply steroid cream
this looks like tinea cruris which is a mild fungal infection in skin folds. Try clotrimazole 1% cream , or clotrimazole plus hydrocortisone 1% if its very itchy. Looser fitting underwear if that's possible. Its not an sti (doesn't look like scabies )
You have Jock itch- you can get the over the counter stuff at the pharmacy or just apply anti perspiring deodorant
You appear to have lesions outside the red area. While you can try all that has been suggested, it might be worthwhile getting a definitive diagnosis from a doctor.
Be aware that depending on what skin condition you have, you could actually do more damage and make it worse by applying the wrong cream or oil. There’s no substitute for a doctors opinion when it comes to skin conditions like this.
PS. For what it’s worth I think it looks like eczema.
