Cyst on centre of chest

Have a 1.5cm whitish round cyst on centre of chest, it recently started to go reddish around the outside of the cyst, been initially given 5 days worth of antibiotics Clarithromycin, had to ask for another 5 days worth making it 10 days in total. Still have 4 days to go, however the inflammation is still showing around the cyst.

Should I wait till the full 10 days have gone by or should I go to a urgent treatment centre at hospital to have the whole cyst removed, GP says he'll do the minor procedure but this won't be till sometime in February or sometime in March on an NHS waiting list.

Main concern is if the cyst ruptures from internal it leaks into bloodstream and cause sepsis.
