Hi everyone, so I recently discovered to small ish hard bumps on the side of my tongue shown in the picture, they are both pointless but have only appeared within the last 6 months or so, I am obvoously freaking out right now dreading the worst! Has anyone any idea what they are?

If you suspect that you have oral cancer you should seek immediate medical help. We are not doctors and cannot diagnose your problem.
For peace of mind, as well as diagnosis and treatment - you ought to discuss your concerns with your dentist or doctor. All the best!
I had something similar picked up during a dental check. Got referred to maxillo-facial consultant. Biopsy confirmed it was harmless. Don't avoid doctors because of fear of cancer - they are there also to eliminate it as a diagnosis, and anyway, if it were to be cancerous, the earlier it's treated the more successful an outcome you are likely to get.
