due for preputioplasty

i haven't been here for a while and since my last visit i have been listed for a preputioplasty on the 30th. steroid creams were moderately effective but did not allow full retraction while hard.

i think my worst fear is sensitivity. i have managed to touch the head while hard and it was awful. what will i be able to do to reduce sensitivity to bearable levels?

also i have heard that scarring can bring the phimosis condition back in some cases, so how would i discourage scarring as much as possible?

If steroids creams havent worked too well the only way to really help is to try stretching using your fingers couple times a day or try stretching tunnel rings which are used for ear lobes... if that also fails or is a route you don’t want to try I would try and get a circumcision rather than correcting the foreskin as it might just as well come back and not help your phimosis...

Keep exposing the head(glans) to air and slowly working up to touching it with cloths. Make sure you when you are healing to keep it moisturized to prevent scarring. The scarring will be worse once you heal but approximately 4 months the scar should loosen up. Especially when you stretch it. Worrying about it right now isnt going to do a thing just keep up on taking care of your wound and itll be fine :)
