Shaving my pits?

Hey guys, I appreciate being a guy and letting my armpit do it’s thing, I do not shave or trim. But a couple of people told me I should trim it. I feel masculine by it being there and I like it. Should I trim and why?

You should clean

hey dude. I trim my armpit hair and it is so much cleaner and easier to put on deodorant. Also I noticed that ever since I have been doing that I do not smell as quickly during a workout for instance. Also it is so much better looking to not have bunch of hair coming out of your armpit.... I go to a gym where most men have the armpit trimmed. It is just a sign that you take good care of yourself and have good personal hygiene. But that is only my opinion...

I go to the gym a lot. I think I may have to trim also.

Yeah it is no big deal at all. Lots of guys are doing it nowadays

I tried that before, I’m a pretty hairy guy, it was a tad uncomfortable for me. I think a trim would be best. But thank you for your suggestion. I really appreciate the feedback.

I guess I'm the only dissenting opinion. I personally like having hairy pitts. For years with low T I had NO hair under my arms. I felt feminized and uncomfortable being hairless. I proudly keep all my long unruly Pitt hair now. Especially if you are hairy it might look unusual to trim your pitts significantly. I say be proud of your hair - be natural.

I have been shaving mine for ages. Feels great and cleaner. Also my lower parts

I find my anti-perspirant deodorant deals with any smell issues well. I actually think the hair helps retain the anti-perspirant. I also think shaving is less hygienic. When I last had to prepare for a medical procedure I was told not to shave my pubic area as shaving allows / causes broken skin where germs can enter.

I don’t shave I use a trimmer so the skin isn’t exposed from the hair follicles missing so it’s just as good as a shave just not as close but still looks really clean and put together

I been using a trimmer to shave my underarm hair for years now and like the feeling of not having hair

It really is a fashion issue. If you like it, do it. If not, don’t do it.

It’s part of being a man.

I can remember when a man would have been persecuted if he shaved anywhere other than his face! I have never felt dirty with hair.

I don’t feel dirty at all. I think I love my hair and I’m not ashamed of it.

I think if you want to trim it up a bit that’s ok but I wouldn’t shave it or you will look like a woman
